Tony Gabriel

Tony, an Assyrian singer, was born on February 24, 1972, in Kirkuk, a city located in Iraq. His father worked as a truck driver for an oil company while his mother was a homemaker who took care of raising Tony along with his four sisters and three brothers. Growing up, Tony's brother James served as his inspiration and mentor in the field of singing.

Tony's professional career in music began in 1988 when he started performing in Kirkuk. Two years later, he started singing at Nineveh and Ashoor's banquet halls in Baghdad with the Ashur King's band, where he continued performing until 1997. He then left Iraq and traveled to different countries, including Holland and Jordan, before finally settling in Hamilton, Canada.

In 2000, Tony teamed up with keyboard player Wail Yako, and they began performing at various events, such as zawa parties, Assyrian societies, picnics in Toronto, Windsor, London Ontario, and primarily weddings and engagement parties. Tony's singing career has been going strong since then, and he has become a popular name in the Assyrian music scene.
